This Palm OS v2.0.5 update is designed exclusively for use on PalmPilot connected organizers (including Pilot organizers with the 1 MB Professional Upgrade) currently running Palm OS v2.0.x software. This update is not intended for use with Palm OS v1.0.x or v3.0.0 software-- if installed it will have no effect. PurposeThe Palm OS v2.0.5 software update includes several enhancements and fixes to the Palm v2.0 operating system. It is especially helpful if you use a PalmPilot organizer, along with a modem, to establish PPP (point-to point protocol) connections. The update includes the following features:Allows HotSync process to be initiated correctly if PalmPilot device automatically shuts off during a PPP session. Solves resource allocation issues, which may "freeze" the PalmPilot device, when setting up a PPP link while using either a modem or connecting to a Windows RAS server. Improves battery life. Balances the "tap" sensitivity on the PalmPilot screen. Handles alarms properly even after the application (that generated the alarms) is deleted. On the PalmPilot Professional organizer, responds to "Ping" commands properly.
