RPN 2.5x Floating Point The floating point library used in RPN has been updated in version 2.50. The library was validated against the Macintosh PPC IEEE library of 64-bit doubles using random numbers for input.The minimum, maximum, and avgerage digits of accuracy is show below for the old and new RPN floating point routines. Each data set is generated from using thousands of random input numbers. The trig test is of asin(atan(acos(cos(tan(sin(x)))))) with x in [0, 1.5]. The performance of the IEEE PPC library is only shown for the trig test since that is the only test in which the answer is known with out calculation.
