MyAlarms is a tiny utility which allows you to fully manage system alarm sounds. You can easily play, rename, delete each single tune or restore, directly on Palm, the original sounds. Plus, MyAlarms gives you the opportunity to create many different archives in order to build your own collections and to carry with you thousands of alarm tunes.
After a HotSync operation, you will find in your desktop backup directory as many "MiDI_xxx.pdb" files as New archives you created, this way giving you the ability to backup or share your personal collections with other MyAlarms users.
To use MyAlarms with current third party Alarm Collections, simply follow these few steps:
- install the collection using the instruction included by its author
- go to MyAlarms, create a New Archive (from Menu "Archive")
- copy all system alarms into the new archive (from Menu "System")
- restore default system alarms (from Menu "System")
Now you can copy into the system database only the tunes you are interested in, this way keeping it clean and small.
Many of the features of MyAlarms are disabled in the unregistered version.
