AirCondE is an application designed for quickly determine the cooling load of rooms, offices, etc. Its result can be used to select the size of small air conditioning units(window or splitter types) of up to 5 tons(60,000 BTU/hr). Usually, small air conditioning units are sized through approximate calculations of the refrigeration load, taking into account the following factors:
1-Dimensions of the room.
2-Heat gain from roof and walls.
3-Heat gain due to occupants, equipment, lights, etc.
The applet is based on an inside design temperature of 75F, outside design condition of 95F dry bulb, 75F wet bulb and 50% relative humidity. AirCondE is free(can be distributed) but no in public domain. The user assumes all responsability for its use.
The applet requires PocketC version 2.1, and OS 2.0 and up.
