The Pebbles Project is researching a wide variety of applications using a hand-held and a PC at the same time. Included in the distribution are: Remote Commander (lets the hand-held function as a PC keyboard/mouse), Scribble (scribble on the PC screen using the hand-held), MultiCursor, PebblesDraw (multi-user drawing), Switcher (use the hand-held as a PC taskbar), and Shortcutter (create panels of shortcuts on the handheld for desktop apps). For Palm only: Remote Clipboard (easily move small pieces of text), ButtonScroll, RateScroll, SlideScroll (scroll the PC using the Palm), PebblesChat, and Web Assist.
