A set of tools for creating Doc e-texts on Unix (and possibly other) systems. Doc Toolkit currently includes converters for HTML and ASCII text. It is developed and tested on Unix, but may be portable to other platforms.

Input may come from local files or http: or ftp: URLs

Input streams may be gzipped

Converted documents can be installed directly to a connected PalmPilot

User-settable category, creator, type, and backup bit

TealDoc tag support

TealDoc headers are wordwrapped based on actual Palm OS font metrics

True bookmark support, no autoscan necessary

Version 1.1.0 begins a new development cycle. It has been reorganized to use plug-ins for input and output formats, making it more flexible for future expansion.
Version 1.1.1 is mostly a bugfix release, but doctotext is back for those of you who have been missing it.
This version requires Pyrite 0.7.5 or newer.
